vz clubsport r8 gearbox issues

Has anyone had issues with thier auto box?

Mine has been very clunky and shifts very hard(chirping wheels) The other day it lost drive and 3rd. Got it checked by my mech they say something about snag plate. Am taking it to dealer as its under warrenty.
What do you all think?

My VZ Clubby chirps the wheels when it changes from 1st to 2nd when I'm fanging it. I've asked around and apparently it's normal. Mine also clunks when it changes from 2nd to 3rd under normal driving, I had it checked out last week and they said there's a bit of play in the diff. They're going to look at it closer this week. I'll let you know the result.

The VZ Clubby does generally have harsher gear changes than previous models.

If it's lost 3rd it sounds like the box is stuffed to me. That happened on my VY and I ended up needing it recoed.

Tell them you want a brand new car.:1peek:

If that doesnt work then tell them you just want it fixed.:)

Thats peace of mind. Took it to the dealer today as its under used car warranty for 3 months and see what they think. Mine sounds exactly the same as your one. Will prob beef it up in the next cple months. Let me know how you go cheers

Yep brand new gearbox from HSV. 50km/2yr warranty
