Hi im looking at buying a custom bike from the states , has anyone done it before. I know you cannot bring in a harley which is sold here in australia but i want to get a bike which is made by a custome shop eg frame etc. If you have brought one over how did you go.

Best to ring or check the website for Dotars www.dotars.gov.au to see if you can import the motorbike. They will tell you yay or nay.

I would assume mate that it would be just like bringing a car in and that happens all the time. Try calling customs or another bloke on the gold coast is called Phill Leahy American Muscle. I have a mate that uses him for shipping from the USA all the time.
Good Luck

I know that Rowan at Cartech in Melb ( 0419 313 113 ) have a fair bit of experience in this field and have done plenty of imported bikes. He is an authorised Dotar sig
