Hey guys and girls,
Just wanting some infor on replacement LED bulbs for my brake, indicator and reverse lights for my VE Sedan.
Can I just use the normal ones off ebay? Or is the VE electrical system going to peak at me?
Thanks in advance :)

I had them in my parking lights on my SSV sedan, Narva etc bought from Autobarn and they lasted between 2 hours and at most 2 months - went through quite a few at $10 and $15 or so a pair.
With the ute I bought some decent LED parking light globes from Gerald at Gadgetmaster with my HID lights, plus some for worknssv too. They've been in for over 7 months on both cars and still going strong!! :woohoo: Also bought some LED reversing lights from him a month or so later and they're still going strong too!! Quite bright!!
If you're interested I'll look them up for you but they were dearer - I think parking globes were $30 pr but given they've lasted so long compared to others that's irrelevant!

You dont happen to have any before/after shots or one side with the std globes and one with the LED's?

I've got 35w 6000k low beam HIDs, 50w 6000k high beam HIDs, I think the parkers are http://www.gadgetmaster.com.au/product/2001-18 (I'll try to check later but they've certainly got 4 separate LEDs showing from front on) and I think the reversing lights are http://www.gadgetmaster.com.au/product/2003-7 (they're big fothermuckers!!).
Contact Gerald at Gadgetmaster and hopefully he will know what he supplied me (Wonky/Gary). You will find HIDs cheaper but I've bought at least 10 sets for myself and friends over the years and never had a problem. Even if you do his service and backup are first class! Tell him you're on this forum and he will discount them for you too.

Unfortunately not Northy but against the LEDs the stock lights look a very sickly yellow.

Hey wonky, ive been looking into this for quite awhile, is it illegal having the red number plate lights??
Are they the LED's??
Im looking at getting those done on my ute as well as two LED's on my front lights.
How much did they cost you + installation? Im not very good with this sorta crap so forgive the stupid questions haha
cheers

 Interesting!! I had no idea what you meant at first but can see now!! I haven't changed the number plate lights as the last thing I want is people seeing my number plate super clearly!! That is an indication I guess of how bright the LED reversing lights are because they not only make the stock number plate globes look sickly yellow, but so bad they look reddish!
The reversing lamps were $60 the pair (many, many LEDs on them) and the front parkers $30 the pair which sounds dear but they've lasted 7 months on both mine and worknssv's ute, whereas previously with Narvas etc in my sedan the longest before at least one blew was two months, sometimes as little as hours!!
Installing the parkers is a piece of cake, the reversing lights about 5 mins with screwdriver and spanner (from memory - I didn't do mine due to my disabilities but they're relatively straightforward I think).

hi all and Wonky just if u can let me no i got 3a racing led bulb for reverse light its super bright 11 led not bad but for some reason urs looks much brighter the website is www.australianauto.com.au my mate had a spare 1 for the indicator and i feel that if the sun was shinning at the back of ur car do u think it would b hard for the driver behind u 2 c it and also when i put the indicator in flashes fast all globes working though. Also can u try and post a pic in natural light for ur led and if u can indicator as well pref the sun behind u thx.
I no iam asking for 2 much but beers on me :)

I'll second Wonky's endorsement of Gadgetmaster! I run (I think) exactly the same lighting setup as Wonky inclusing the HID's, the front 4 piece LED's and LED reverse lights. I also put led's in the number plate sockets too to keep it uniform and I haven't looked back. The HID's are by far the best $200 odd you'll spend on your car and make driving at night a new experience.
Cheers,
Kris.

Will try to get pics of mine and worknssv's (with factory reversing lights) next to each other tomorrow night. I'm no expert (far from it!) but I suspect the reason your indicators flash fast is the LED provides the wrong resistance so the car thinks a globe is blown.

Thx wonky i think ur rite with the indicator problem and only reason i wanted pic was if ur indicator or brake lights (not the top 1) where replaced with leds as well cause thought would be hard 4 ppl behind u 2 c u indicate cause led harder 2 c during the day especially when sunlight shinning on the rear of u car
Thx Eddie
