I am looking at changing over the standard exhaust on my ve sv6 ute to the standard rear mufflers off a hsv maloo.
i know that they wont improve power or sound i am simply looking to improve the asthetics of the car by changing the single tip to a dual tip exhaust.
all i am wondering is if the rear mufflers, or the whole system will simply bolt onto my ute?
cheers
ben
Yes they will fit. straight bolt on.

pretty sure the mufflers are the only difference between the SV6 and the Maloo system so you should only need to replace those.

obviously alot easier and cheaper with straight swap tho

Not really, you just have to unbolt the rear mufflers from the sv6 ute....then replace with the rear mufflers from the Maloo. As I said, I'm pretty sure the rest of it is identical....same 2.25" pipes from the cats, same front muffler, same squished 2" pipes into the twin resonators and the same 2.25" pipe all the way to where the rear muffler flange joints. the only other difference is cats forward.

they look pretty good, i ended up buying them. only 50 each which i thought was pretty good considering the others wanted 250 for the pair. now i just need to find some steel wool to polish up the alloy tips

Personally I have a VE Maloo and I think the tips are to small. Previously had a KPM exhaust on my VE SSV Ute(kept exhaust going on my Maloo) and those tips are bigger and suit the back end. They are 3 or 3.5".

yeh they are a tad small as far as aftermarket exhaust go, but they are a hell of a step up from the standard sv6 tips

the good thing about the hsv tips is that they bolt on they arnt welded on like most so if i do want to change them all i need to do is find the ones i want and drill a few holes and hey presto
