I usually am not into 'american' styled cars but I have to admit I like the look for this coupe (except the rear tail lights).

Here are some more pics

OK....am I missing something here???

As I understand it the CTS is based on the VE platform, right?

Then I read this in one of the above articles:

As with the sedan, all-wheel drive will be available as an option. The front/rear weight distribution is 53/47 (RWD) and 54/46 (AWD).

So does that mean somewhere in the world they have all wheel drive platforms based on the VE Commodore???

The CTS is built on the Sigma platform, VE is Zeta.
They both started as the new Global Rear Wheel Drive platform at Holden in about 1998, but then Cadillac went a different, more sophisticated development route with it and named it Sigma, while Holden went a cheaper, lighter version and called it Zeta.

You are getting confused with the Camaro Platform :teach:

Do they not share geometry? I thought the differences were fairly minor.....different materials for the suspension, but pickup points all the same.

Sigma is for smaller vehicles than VE. The main reason Sigma wasn't used as the basis for a cheaper version for VE.

Perhaps it's just me, but that has to be one of the most horrid looking cars ever created :spew:

I guess with GM's bankruptcy, the design department was limited to using a ruler to pen this car.

For a comparison, have you seen how "attractive" the current Nissan GTR is...?

Is it just me who thinks it looks like an oversized Prius?

It does look alright but i think the sedans look better.

I think the 415kW supercharged V8 version will be a bit of a beast, depending on how heavy the AWD is and how much $$$ the RRP gets inflated by
