Hi Guys,
Has anyone used a Performance Car Parts Australia (PCPA) VE Pod Style Cold Air Intake Kit?
Does anyone have any feedback?

Thanks
Tom

I think it's pretty widely agreed that you'll get better results from an OTR mate :)

Yep, having tried 2 different pod style intakes on my SSV sedan, then an Orrsom OTR on it and now with a DUS OTR on the ute there is absolutely no comparison! Unless you have something against OTRs and/or can get the pod very cheap (under $100) I wouldn't bother.

Absolutely ... I reckon my figures went backwards with a pod and no tune. And that was with a good K&N filter.

Avoid OTR's with twin pod filters. Look at those with panel filters ... the Russo if you have a manual (radiator is tipped back and air pick up sits right behind grill ... won't work if there's a trans cooler in the way!) or Orssom with manual or auto.

In hindsight, I wouldn't do induction without a tune ... may give you a better induction sound ... but there is no guarantee you will gain kw's.

A tune is the best value for money mod you can do on a VE! :) Add a CAI and cat-back and you could pick up around 30-40rwkw

Hadn't looked at the Duspeed before... just googled it after seeing your reply ... have seen them on cars but not known what make they were. Looks good. Mafless only though? That was the benefit or Orssom, but I believe Russo now do a maf version. The shape of the Russo and Dus look like they'd provide better directional airflow back into the throttle body than the Orssom too.

I've gone the Russo now ... very happy with it.
