hey all, im having trouble with my nitrous, its such a simple system but its giving me the shits, lol. i have a microswitch on the throttlebody, can these play up or not or even the relays, can they somehow reverse what there meant to do, whats happening is, when i arm it, my window switch will activate nitrous 3500 and off at 6500, under full throttle it wont activate, but once off throttle it seems to activate, can anyone try and shed some light on this for me, its really annoying, plus its hard to test without a dyno, if you get my drift.

Have you tried changing your relay micro switch should either work or not

It may seem like I am asking a silly question but you have checked the microswitch is being activated when at full throttle with the car off just too make sure it is setup correct?? but in saying this I had a brand new microswitch fail on one of my cars it is simple too check with a test light

Hope this helps

i think i might have fixed, it seems fixed from my testing in my garage, tho i wont know fully until i give it a run. but all i did was changed some wires around on the micro switch, which is not making me happy that the error is resolved because how would they have been changed around, unless when my tuner was fixing a problem on the oil pump, they unplugged them for some reason. soon time will tell i suppose. thanks for the replies

Sounds like you have installed a NC micro switch. The NC stands for "Normally closed" and when it is operated, the goes OC ( Open Circuit ). This would give those exact symptoms as it would disable NO2 at WOT ( switch activated ) and then enable it once you come off the throttle ( switch not activated ). Check the switch contacts with a multimeter or continuity tester to see if it's the correct type. Another option is to get the switch serial number and look it up on the manufactures web site.

Simon

Edit: Ahh, so it's a muti contact type and the wires were set in the NC position. ;)

easy fix. get rid of the junk you are using and use a zex kit. it wires straight to the TPS so no crapy micro switches.. see easy.:)

yeh the micro switch has 3 points on it, im guessing that what you described simon, hopefully it has solved my problem. the NOS brand also has a tps activation switch i believe tho you have to purchase it as an extra

I am using a HSW Microedge controller. Excellent piece of tech with gear lock out, AFR lean cut out, window controller, dual stage and a few other things. Cost me less than $200 landed.

seemed to be the microswitch was wired up incorrectly, which has me stumped because it was working fine one day then the next it wasnt
