power a laptop from car, using cig power how?
18 volts required, only 12 volts doesn't start
PS the laptop battery is dead.
Targus travel adapter.... Been discussed here before.

I just use a cheap Jaycar DC to DC converter for my CarLaptop (mine requires 15v).

My laptop needs 19.6 volts I use and inverter and run it off the 240 volt plug.

Same here.. Powertech Plus (MP3467) Works really well for me.. Toshiba 19vdc.. Plus saves all the bs converting..
Rock solid and you don't have inverters and 240v power supplies flopping about the car ;)
