how old is he?
what does he like besides the car?
Does it need to be Mini related or can it be anything for that money?

doesnt have to be mini related.
He is 55, an electrical technician, plays table tennis.
I was going to get him the PINK in concert DVD as he really likes PINK (for some reason) but someone else beat me to it.
I was just reading through that membership benefits page - noticed a thing on there called 'MiniMag' (monthly publication). I think SteveK had one of them that I noticed at the Knox Cruise Night lastnight... Looked like a pretty good read.

his not a huge alchol drinker and doesnt drink beer. He does drink UZO though - maybe a bottle of that might do.

I know you said it doesn't have to be MINI related, but what about:
1) MINI cufflinks
2) nice MINI polo
3) a MINI pen set (roller ball and fountain pen)
(yes, I am a little MINI obsessed too)
