Great Result.
Both fuels tuned to their optimum from low to high revs &
2 separate tunes that you can switch between ?

Very cool. I'm also interested in the price of the setup :)

Mike,
From low to high revs, provided the calibrators and line pressures are correct, the LPG mixtures mimic petrol operation, and can be adjusted to be spot on.
It's at WOT where we see the need for an alternate means to adjust the AF/R for better performance.
We set the "tunes" up to switch automatically once the LPG injectors start pulsing, but it's not a complete "different" tune as such, We have access for further control the AF/R's when in PE mode , plus we can access an alternate spark table ( which is ideal for LPG operation )
This will also be handy when setting up Nitrous Oxide cars :)

APS, how did this install end up? The original fuel rail is completely missing so it runs on lpg only which is a great idea. Did you end up sorting out the tune at wot? Let me know Russ
Impressive build and results. Well done.
What's the down side though? Are there any? Other than cost haha.
I have the option of going vapour or liquid injection on my LS1. $$$ don't matter.
Does the JTG rig take the tuning by APS to get shit right, or can any ol' supplier of their systems do well with it?

KMA, the E38 ecm has ethanol tables somewhere in the pids. I think I would have my own tuner tune it especially for the lpg for afr and spark. My ecm is E40 and it may not have ethanol pids - I dont know. I see there is still petrol rails fitted - hard to see. I have pm'd APS for more info.

Hi
First of all awesome setup.
I assume the guys at APS would have no issue adapting JTG LPG to any of the Harrop 112/122 or PWR 112/122 range of blowers as well?
regards,
Richard

Any of the installers can do well with the JTG system .
Basically , with tuning we can further improve LPG operation by making full use of the ECU, but be aware the separate spark advance and fuel trimming ethanol tables are only available (switchable ) on E38 ( VZ-VE ) ECU.

In addition also only available to tuners that utilise EFI LIVE.
Will the E38 ECU work on a VY11??

The E38 uses the 58 tooth reluctor wheel on the crankshaft. VY is 24 tooth. Your loom is different for your sensor positions as well. Not worth changing for the sake of E85 fuel tables. Aps let me know when you can clone 60lb petrol injectors and have one big pump for the lpg tank. This cant be too hard can it? I spoke to Dr gas 18 months ago and he said it was possible to run only on liquid lpg. Was he correct? Thanks Russ

Why would you want it? As far as switchable tuning goes the LS1 PCM has some attractive options available. This one available from forum sponsor Sideshow would be perfect for alternate fuels.

At present our laws stop this from being the case, the Liquid injection system must have a purge period before starting the car to eliminate any vapour from the gas lines, this period may extend uo to approx 50 seconds, our laws state that LPG can not flow for more than a couple of seconds unless the car is cranking or running, so this is a legal problem at present.
