View Full Version : VZ HSV or VE SS
looking at prices now, the VZ series HSV's and the early model VE SS's are getting similar in price.
Just interested in thoughts as to which you would pick. The obvious is that one is a base model and the other is a HSV, but then again, one is a brand new platform while the other is based on something 10 yrs old.
Just asking as this might be a decision i will have to make in the near future :jester:

With the VZ having the 6 litre 297, i would pick a VZ clubsport/senator over a VE SS every day of the week......
HSV without a doubt. Pick up a Clubby for 30-40k and you wont look back. Great looking car (better than the VE imho :hide: ), better suspension, brakes, etc for the same dollars.
Im bias because I love HSV's, and while the VE SS's are great, the HSV just takes it up another notch. Dont let the age deter you, it really has no bearing on the ability of the car.

No bias in Ryzz's opinion of course :stick:
And no bias in me agreeing with him either :love2:
But seriously yeah at those prices for VZ HSV's they make a great base car. But a little scary that my $68k ?? (can't remember) when new car is worth that little. Scary depreciation rates !

Honestly, how many of these threads do we need to have? The choice is subjective, so only YOU can decide by test-driving and looking at what is to offer in each of the identified models.
