hey guys did a oil and filterchange on my sister in-laws 97 astra

i got the right filter and put in the 3.5L of 10w40 that was recommended

ran the engine and checked for leaks no dramas

when she got home (about 30kms away) she said her Coolant temps( gauge to the right of the astra dash) were higher than normal, she said they normally sit around 90 - 95 and now they are 95 - 100

i didnt touch the coolant or anything like that

is this normal?

cheers guys

it doesnt seem that hot anyways, it could be just the weather.

aslong as you got enough oil in there shouldnt affect coolant temp

Sounds a bit strange. She hasn't picked up some debris whilst driving home (ie shopping bag partially blocking the radiator).
