sounds like a nice car, even with all those modifications I would at best, 20g if your willing to wait. If you want a quick sale I would say closer to the 18k mark.
Good luck if you do decide to sell.

My daughter recently bought a very clean and straight black M6 VY2 SS from a dealer (the Holden dealer I use) with 79,000km on it for $21,600 driveaway with Holden's extended used car warranty. Had it checked out by the guys at Chevs and it all added up. Previous woman owner (known by some of the guys I know there) who looked after it very well. Only mods were pretty poxy mags plus extractors and exhaust to give it some noise - sounds very good!!
Your mods are worth nothing to most people and in fact will detract from many potential buyers. You could start by pricing in some of your mods and just hoping that someone out there wants exactly that, but you'll be lucky!!

have to agree around the 15 - 17 mark if its immac, mods + nearl 150k might turn off some buyers. But sit and wait if there is anything I have learnt from experience there is always someone willing to buy its just a matter of time

Thanks guys bit of a disappointment so far in terms of selling price was hoping for around 20-25k mark, but oh well. If it means anything the car is going in for another cam change early next year at no charge to me also getting the heads shaved. She made 270rwkw.
Might be better to just keep it and buy a pubby i need a fuel efficient car 3 round trips to a full tank is starting to add up lol $$$

Most are still around 19-22 on carsales, I think people saying 14/15K are being a bit unrealistic. I would price it around 20/21 and be expecting to sell for 18/19.
If you spent a bit and got it fully detailed, dents removed etc, you'd probably add another grand on to it.

Don't want to disappoint but 14 -17 is realistic !

I agree dont see much at all for under 18k, wouldnt even think of selling for any less, you still seeing some vx ss's get up to 18k.

Most are still advertised at 19-22 on carsales - doesn't mean they are getting it.

If it helps i just paid $25k for a VX SS... Few more mods though.
You see cars on carsales for more... doesnt mean they are selling at that price. Personally, i would get the dints fixed, get it professionally detailed and serviced and put it up for a price you'd be happy with. If it doesnt sell, keep it.
Good luck

As I said, advertise at 20-21 and sell for 18-19K.
Even redbook says average price is about 15-17K and I think they're always under par.

I also payed $22K for my VYII SS with leather, climate, sunroof, 20s and 89K km. This was in May this year just before the value of cars really plummeted. Some of the other VY SS cars i was looking at 7 months ago are still for sale on Carsales.

The kms may put off some buyers, however if it was me buying it wouldn't bother me if it was modified as long as everything was done properly. I sold my vy ss which had 230rwkw in 2006 for around 25k and it took me a while to sell. Id say you're looking at about 16-17k realistically unless its in immaculate condition and it's very well looked after.
As someone said previously in this thread, there is always "eventually" someone who is willing to buy it, just give it time, you may have to sell it at a lower price than you'd like, but it all depends how much determination you have to sell it.

I would advertise it for $20/$21K. There is always a buyer out there. My mate sold a VY SS Ute series 1. Was a pig of a car, hothouse green and not looked after all that well with similar Kms. Had a very cheap full exhaust, speedy rims and diff gears. Advertised it and got $21K the first weekend it was in the paper. That was around july this year...

mate bought my vy ss 4 months ago with a couple of mods which meant nothing to me anyway, for 16k anyone asking big money always struggles to sell, but think about it are you going to be happy driving something cheap on fuel, you have been use to driving a powerfull car, i drive a hiace for work, sure its reliable but the power lack of does your head in, plenty of mate have gone backwards before only to regret it. think about it

The cars on carsales and carpoint are asking the dollars and there not selling. To be honest your car without seeing it in person is a $14,000 - $17,000 car. VZ SS are going for $19,000 - $21,000 at the auctions. Ok so they don't have the mods but not everyone wants them. If your wanting to sell you have to be prepared to wait or meet the market and don't take any notice of the views of your add if you place one on the carsales sites they mean nothing. I had over 6000 views and had 2 phone calls. ITS A JOKE

When i was living in Traralgon it was only a 2 drive to work i would clean the car weekly, but now i live in Pakenham and drive to Mt Wavery everyday. i can make the car look micky mouse spend about 4-5 hours detailing only to drive to work and it screwed within a couple of days!
When i say trolley dints i mean you cant see them unless your looking in the right light (Gota love black)
If anyone is out Pakenham way shoot me a PM id like to catch up and do cruises and whatnot.
Thanks for all your input guys!
