We reckon "the Stig" may have dirtied his white racing suit........

We believe this is the first time in Australia that a WHIPPLE 3.4 supercharger has been fitted to a VE - all under bonnet

Running out of time on Christmas eve - first road test - not wanting to fall 'foul of the law" at this time of year.

With TC engaged, we get 4th gear wheel spin . insane,puts a smile on your face

In 5th gear this thing pulls like most cars do in 2nd

No they were re covered. Really nice job from SOC in frankston. It also has a roll cage.

Owner decided that this setup still didn't get him that "clench" factor he was looking for !!! -:eeeeek::confused:

We've since pulled the engine out for a freshen up and will be trying a different grind camshaft to go with the added volume of the bigger huffer.

Will keep you updated as we get closer to putting it all back together again.


Now, Nathan's ute "CHARGEN" on the other hand ......:nyuk::dancenana:

We've since pulled the engine out for a freshen up and will be trying a different grind camshaft to go with the added volume of the bigger huffer.

Thats an EPIC FAIL on your code breaking skills Pete! The motor is only just run in! The owner is taking this Maloo to the Easter Nats and wants it to run it through the ringer. His specific request was ' I want to hold this thing on the limmiter and know its going to last the day ' !

This is a big dollar machine and we all know the boys at the Easter Nats arnt scared to drop the finances of a small country into there steeds.

I can tell you il be there this year because i have a feeling it will be one of the best :)

6800 before the engine came out, but it had been as high as 7200 before the change to the bigger blower

Looking from this angle it's hard to believe that this all fits under the bonnet..

hey mate did u guys change the motor size or did u rebuilt it again to a 418ci. also how much clearence between the blower and the bonnet

The engine is the same size 418ci. The bonnet clears the blower by around 20 mm.

502.8 rwkw , 1743 Nm torque at 6800 rpm .

This engine according to our builder will spin 8500 happily.....should make owner "grin"
