Guy take a look at this link and think about where is Drag Racing going to end up.
This guy might just be onto something who know.

Must feel weired having that much grunt in a car bunting you back into the seat and almost no noise.
Friggen awesomme, I never knew those electric things could be made to be oh so quick.

Electric motors produce so much torque it's ridiculous and torque's where it's at when it comes to drag racing!

Yes, impressive. Used to remind me of the startling acceleration of an electric tram when the old driver wanted to get serious!!!!
Could out do many a road car across the intersection

a 300hp petrol 900kg datsun would go alright as well. But that wouldn't be the point .....

u gotta be happy with that
but nothing beats the sound of a v8 thundering down the quarter mile
Thats awesome, be interesting to know what it would cost to set that up though.

YEAH SURE I'll just throw 120 batteries in the grange.......
It will be great for the enviroment to recharge them everyday.
The carbon emissions wont have an impact on the enviroment at all.... :jerk:

Yeah its speed may be impressive but what sort of a range do you get out of a charge. Probably 100ks or so with an 8-10 hour recharge to fully charge. Thats speed for you 1 week Sydney to Brisbane. I will stick to petrol thanks.

Very interesting stuff. Impressive when you think that electric cars haven't had anywhere near the development that petrol cars have had.
It's easy to shoot holes in the concept, but give it some time, I say...
