I have been trying to get the iPhone to work with the Berlinas Bluetooth, I manage to pair with the car fine and by pressing the phone button on the steering wheel it will either answer the phone or end the phone call and also be ready for voice command..
Though once I have managed to dial someone on the iPhone it gives you 3 options... 1. Veichle BT 2. iPhone and 3. Speaker... Options 2 & 3 work fine which is the sound either comes out normal as if you held you iPhone to your ear, and the other option is using the iPhones speaker phone.. Though I can't manage to get it to go through the cars BT and come out the stereo, I can select the option on the phone but the stereo keeps playing and can't hear anything..
Any ideas??

Is it a 3GS model, rather than the earlier 3G?
I'd suggest you contact the member in this thread that does installs, as he sems to think an iPhone will work properly with anything...

My 3GS has all sorts of issues with my Maloo. My old SE phone worked perfectly with both the HSV and my Subaru. Apple have hamstrung the iPhone's BT capabilities to protect themselves but it's only served to make it horribly unreliable... stupid Apple :soap:

Yeah I do have a iPhone 3gs and I found that on the Holden website it has parcial conectivity so it looks like it's the phone.. Also the previous owner had a genuine Holden hands free kit install but has now been removed.. I wonder if they removed it properly..

I have the older 3G version and it works fine.
I wish Holden got their act together and we were able to sync our phones phonebook on the main screen and scroll through the directory and pick a contact that way.
Also when someone who calls and you have their details in your phone book the name should come up on the screen.
Holden have a lot of work to do on that stereo who ever programmed it was really near sited and has a lot to learn against what you can do on other types of cars.
And come on give complete us ipod integration.....

It's probably being worked on for the VF or whatever the next series will be called. Ford are going hard nuts with iPhone/iPod integration. Holden will need to at least get some semblance of integration sorted

Things i found with the iPhone..
1. you can't answer with the phone - otherwise the phone does not route through your BT.. Answer only with the steering wheel phone icon.
2. The new update for the iPhone fixed a few nuances that i was having, and added voice support.. Are you using the latest OS?
3. Cancel and re-pair the iPhone.. This worked for me on one instance where the phone / head unit refused to re-link..
I also found that the phone will link if you hit the "Phone" icon on the steering wheel (if the iphone / head unit don't connect after pairing)
Does this help any?
