Whats my clubby worth.. am i asking too much?

been tryin to sell my vx series 2 Clubsport and havent had as much interest as i woulda liked.. ive only advertised it here and a another couple of forums but goin to put it on carsales.com soon.. origina asking price was 23,000 and i just wanna know what u guys reckon the spec are

the cars red, its a manual 6 speed, body the and interior are very good, Has leather seats and has been well looked after. a little bit of gutter rash on the rims. its got 138,000 on the clock, the engine runs very well and hasnt missed a beat and and made good power for the mods that have been installed.

Also has 2 and a half exhaust system with extractors.
New chromoly push rods
New valve springs
new cam 228/228 112 LSA
Alloy over the radiator intake
Tune Mafless
25% underdrive pulley kit with belts
New Platnum plugs and high performance leads

Car Made 281RWKW

Transmission mods

Single plate heavy duty clutch
4.11 diff with speedo calibrated
Rip shifter
Diff and gearbox oil recently replaced

suspension

Stiffened front springs from Pedders
Pedders rear suspension with standard springs, comes with lowering king spring if ya want them


-Car also had the radiatior replaced as the old one cracked, seems to be a common problem with LS1 commodore radiators

-Oil pressure switch was also replaced, also common problem with the LS1's

-When the car was tuned i had the power steering boots replaces and had heat sheilds installed to stop the extractors from melting them.

-New A/C compressor as the bearings went on the old one, regassed with new belt

car comes with the old cam, air box and maf sensor if ya want\

Id say anywhere between 19 - 22k but that all depends on the buyer, most mods ect dnt mean crap when it comes time to sell

From the sounds of things its more the advertising than the pricing.
Throw it on carsales (there's a few others that are cheaper or even free but don't get as much traffic). Also try the local paper, trading post or whatever else you have over there. From my experience you have a pretty hard time selling cars thru forums.

hey buddy,i think thats a great price mate ,ya should advertise it for what ya think its worth if someone drives it and they r impressed they will price ,i got almost that much for a bolt one vx with 150,000kms but it run 12.4's so just go for it advertise it for what ever ya think try ya luck:goodjob:

price sounds ok to me, mods can put ppl off as they think they've been thrashed etc..
but can also attract your local rev head

when selling a car you cant put a price on mods even though its out of your pocket, does'nt make the car itself worth anymore

but I dont see any reason to not get between 20-23 for it, the car market is slow atm but is getting better

I hav a dec 01 vx ii clubby , M6, sting red, 110ks, full service history, ultra lows all round, 6mth old 20's, rear camber kit, nolethane bushes front to rear, mirror tint, full stereo, imaculate interior, HSV sill plates, custom vz flutes in guards, cat back twin exhaust, and would ask around 23-24, but always neg on the price (ono),

there's always someone out there willing to pay for it if they want it, you just need more advertisement.

i think ill keep 23 grand on it,I understand that mods dont necessarily make it worth more so just gotta wait for someone who is likely to do the same mods and wanna save some cash.. like yas said just gotta wait for the right buyer.
gotta get it out there as well so ill put it on carsales and see how it goes

Was with mark12 a week or so ago getting a couple of cars & seen a very clean VX II clubby , 102 k , big wheels sterio & dvd etc etc . Sold for 17400 . In saying that I have a builder mate up here ( older guy ) who has a 1 owner VY Clubby , with roof , been out in the rain twice that im aware of , garraged since day dot , no dirt roads at all , under 30k on spedo , serviced every 6 months since new , etc . Will be leaving his care early Jan for $ 22k . Sad to say but this is the reality of the current market .
