what oil to run in gen3

hi all i know this subject has proberbly been discussed over and over again but i havent managed to find alot to answer my question. i am wondering what types of oil people use and reccomend in there gen3. i change my oil every 5000kms and each time used something different started with magnitec 10w 40 then went to penzoil 15w 40 the engin had a slight tick when started when hot so i changed it again and went to penrite 10w 50. engin noise was notisibly worse after putting in the penrite and what to take it out again but before i go out buying oil again would like to see what other people use and reccomend chears

so u have had trouble with penrite but keep using it....did u have issues with magnatec??? why did u change from magnatec originally????? imho penrite isnt worth the container u buy it in and would never put it in my car or someone i knows car

the car has always had a slight tick that gets better and worse with different oils hence why i change type each time but the penrite has only been in for a week and is the first and only time i will use it

I asked this question on some one elses thread,

seems every one personal choice if ya dont wonna spend the big $$$ is ...Castrol edge 10w/60 , seems to be a popular choice by many on this forum.

sure others will say the same, that going in my very soon as its due for a service..

if u use the search function u will find plenty of information on this topic as it is widely discussed and everyone has there own opinions on oils and different brands......i myself use castrol magnatec as i find it works fine with my application....i do change my oil once every 5k or so and my car doesnt do alot of driving anymore mainly only weekend km's.......i cant justifiy the extra money for castrol edge when i only have it in 5k the magnatec does just fine for me im sure others will recommend other oils and reasons why they use it =....

magnitec is what i have found alot of people use might have to give it another shot
