So as the tittle says why do guys choose mafless over maf?

What are the benefits of going mafless?

Is there any benefit in staying with the maf?

Wont staying with the maf keep mixtures changing keeping fuel economy good when if you went mafless fuel economy will be anything?

Hi GTO,

I'll get in quickly before the thread gets locked. There are plenty of threads on this very topic so best to have a search.

Basically once you go Mafless you'll never look back and wish you did it sooner especially coupled with an OTR. Makes your engine come alive :)

Cheers,

Matt

in additon to the 5 threads down the bottom of this page there is probably another 6 billion on here. Have a search mate.

:goodjob:

but for the record. mafless by an EXPERIANCED tuner coupled with an OTR is the winner hands down.

Without being smart, you have searched for exactly five minutes on this subject then came back for answers. My research re this subject took me several weeks.

Its all here...just search.

i have gone into advanced search i have searched they key word MAF searching tittles of threads only.
And on the first 2 pages of results i have not seen a thread comparing MAF and Mafless if you find one let me know i'll be happy to read it.
Since on 2 pages of searches all i found was WTB mafless tune blah blah same old story for 2 pages of search results.
Hence i came back here and request my questions are still valid and may have not been answered.

You will have an optimised tune whichever way you go and get better fuel economy. With a properly setup VE table the commanded fuel will be spot on and allowances for temperature can be made in the tune.

Unless you have an objection to getting rid of the maf I say get it tuned Mafless chuck an OTR on it and be done with it.

Which part of Sydney do you live in ?

Flame me all you like! , never had problems with maf, I tow a trailer everyday get 430 -450 klm to a tank, cant see how i going to much more from a mafless tune!
