more information might be helpful
naturally aspirated, forced induction, supporting mods......
Pretty sure GM Motorsport has had 350ish cam only with a TK cam...

Tyrebiter has 333.4rwkw at Chev's with stock heads, cam, extractors, zorst, OTR and mafless tune. The stock L92 heads are apparently pretty good!!

I have 310rwkw with a GM Motorsport street racer 231/237 @113 cam, pushrods, valve springs, Russo OTR, maflless tune and full exhaust. That is an accurate number from a Mainline dyno ... not some "massaged" result to make the mods look good.
GM Motosport achieved 350rwkw with their "turbo killer" cam ... given my result, I would suggest that's an accurate number.
Don't look at rwkw ... they are all over the shop depending on the make of dyno ... look at 1/4 mile times. This is where the GM Motorsport guys have shown what they are capable of with a VE pulling 10.87 @ 128 mph and low 11's with street trim and tyres.
The L98 heads are very good - same design as the LS3 and LS7 ... and much better than the cathederal port design of the LS1 and LS2.
An extra $2600-$2800 for a set of higgins heads (which everyone raves about on the forums) may give you an extra 15-20kw Don't get me wrong ... they are supposed to be very good ... but the conservative increase goes to show just how good the stock heads really are.
You are really wanting to squeeze the most out of a naturally aspirated engine for that return on investment. Personally I'd be putting that money into a LS7 clutch, 3.7 diff ratio and a rip shifter. No point having the HP if you can't get it to the ground.

In all honesty though, Quarter mile times cannot be taken for comparison unless the weight and transmission specs are taken into account. There is no point saying with XXX cam and Roughly XXX rwkw a VE ran a 10.5 when it has 200kg of weight reduction, Full drag setup (90/10's, front runners and cross plys) and a 5500 rpm converter in its box.
From the general consensus, Cam only, VE's seem to sit between 310 rwkw on a more conservative dyno upto 340rwkw on a generous. But still, I am contradicticting myself. A street Trim VE With one of the Bigger cams seem to be netting a decent high 11 on the strip with ET's.
What Modifications did you have in mind? From this, We can let you know what to expect performance wise, street and strip and a "ballpark" dyno figure.

One "problem" you may run into with something like Higgins heads is from memory they've had about 30 thou taken off and given piston to valve clearance can already be an issue with VEs and big cams it can further reduce the size of the cam you can fit.
