The lights on but no ones home

Gday Thanks for all the responses to previous posts/threads?
I have jst aquired a 02 cz8 with a stage 1 kit ? mafless tuned and Dynos @ 325rwhp much fun.
So does anyone know of the correlation between cruise control and traction control apparently they work together so if one is down they're both down I know there is a cruise control module, is there a traction control module ?
As I dont have either operating was wondering if I should replace the cruise mod and see if this rectifies the issue .Has anyone else experienced this problem any advise would be appreciated

mite seem stupid BUT check ur brake lights and make sure they are working as a faulty brake light switch or tail light can stop the cruise from working as it runs through the BLS.........
