VE Bonnet Scoop

Hello,

Just need help in deciding on which scoop to go with.

Here are the 2 walkinshaw bonnet scoops, with or without the wing?:

ive never been a fan of them scoops but if i was to decide it would have to be the second one without the wings

I'm not sure how the winged ones have been going lately but there were early reports of the wings lifting as the adhesive got hot

Get 1 of those fiberglass G8 vented bonnets,I'm definately not a fan of the Walky pieces.

The only thing i have added was 20's, SSL's and reverse camera.

No big mods, was thinking about waiting till the warranty runs out.

The wings dont look like they are fixed down on the pic. Do they just sikaflex or glue them? Cos they will move over time.
Why wouldnt the mould drop down as the bonnet does. It looks like its flat on the bottom in your first pic.

its is stuck down with some type of adhesive. i had never noticed the gap befor.

another good reason to go no wings if u like that scoop.

I will go against the grain too and say I think the wings look better. I am headin down to Spoiler Factory in Armadale to look at one he is prepping up.
So will lay it on the bonnet and see how it fits.

Yeah ! That it, but realy not the best shots to highlight the bonnet scoop.
I just have some images of the VE VK SS GROUP THREE in silver build no 001 & build no 002 in white. Along with the VE VC RETRO ute in black (Original prototype based on a SV6) , as posted for sale on car sales dot com do au , also have a pics of the VE VH SS GROUP THREE, you just really need to see the new generation HDT VE RETRO HERITAGE SERIES.
The VE VK SS GROUP A 'BLUE MEANIE' in wagga wagga nsw next weekend on display & taking rides, Yes the 7 litre super charger as released at bathurst last year, also seen on the front cover of motor mag dec & TOP GEAR front cover on Dec. See built no 002 / 250 is for sale on ebay currently. A deposit was place on this blue meanie within the first 15mins once unvailed at bathurst last year & so far all orders & sales 30+ have been without a single test drive !!!!!
Wonder what HDT has planned for this years bathurst ???

the last pic you notice the difference in size compared to VY

Yeah spot on Dean that'd be my option as well....no wings molded into the bonnet with real working vents :D

Unless it's a pressed metal copy of the walky bonnet or a full fibreglass bonnet it wont last long. from the looks of the bog marks from the top view he's just put a walky one on, bogged up the lines then had it resprayed. it will be cracked in no time.

LIKE OR NOT...just bought a replica fibreglass scoop with WINGS...

Now to find a good panel shop to touch up the fitting of the grills (bit rough) and gonna paint it black on a white car. I have seen it and looks PHAT..

If i get bored then it comes off and changes are made.

The rest of my money is going to be spent on making it go faster...

I must say moulded to the bonnet looked awesome but the as said, the rims arent doing it justice and the red stripe on the tyres isnt helping either. Could look way betta with different rims.
