Been a whilse since I have done a westwards mountains scenic trip and waterfalls walk, hence will be doing the below. All welcome, its a fantastic drive route, beautiful scenery and the waterfalls should still be flowing nicely.

TIME - 0800 MEET AT GOODNA MACCAS (is on the way from Bris to Ipswich)

0830 Depart Goodna Maccas

Head toward Willowbank/Warwick

Turnoff the highway at Yomanto

Turn left at T and take the Ipswich Boonah Rd to Peak Crossing

Maroon Dam (photoshoot)

Head back towards Boonah to Carneys Creek Rd

Turn Left at Carneys Creek Rd

Turn Right onto Head Rd

Veer left to Spring Creek Rd

Continue through the mountain twisters to Queen Mary Falls

B.B.Q Lunch and yarn at Queen Mary Falls

B.Y.O. food/drink and whatever - this is just a run that I am doing, not a formal anything cruise.

Don't forget the camera!!!!

Take the walk to the falls

Depart the Falls along Spring Creek Rd

Turn Right at T intersection (Border Rd) and head toward Kilarney

Take the back roads down to the Cunningham Highway and back to Brisbane

We could turn right just prior to Kilarney (Brosnans Rd, which becomes Condamine River Rd) do a return trip along Condamine River Rd through the mountains and river crossings to Head.

Continue on to T intersection and turn left along Carneys Creek Rd and through Croftby and arrive back at Boonah Rathdowney Rd

Turn left and head into Boonah; then home

Pete, the Condamine River Rd has about 14 creek crossings and is really a 4WD track, I didn't make it all the way in the Adventra on either attempts I have made to traverse it from Head to Killarney.

Just FYI.

Will be great to do the run with you guys and gals again. Last time out there were about 40 cars which was way, way over what I can handle.

I'm just a tad and a bit more worried that my 2nd auto box is about to crap itself - doin some weired shit atm. Oh well it's my driving style that does it and I know that, so will just see what happens on the day.

8am meet at Goodna Maccas - 8.30 departure

A6 box number three within 3 years that I have owned the luxo is a spensive game to play lol. Suppose it fate that it "exactly matches" the number of Differentals i have smashed across the same time. Oh well at least I've only destroyed one engine to date, which is a positive.

HEY GARY
Thanks for the info. No way we low to the ground dudes will be doin the Condamine River Rd now. It looked fun on Google Earth though.

Ta mate:)

I will discuss with the BCCC and LS1 Forum dudes and dudettes out on the day as to which would be their preference on return.

Easy stuff and quite a few options which are the same fun routes that you taught me a coupla years ago.

Have a good day out there Pete, looks like it might be a bit wet, and with recent rain the Condamine River road would be under a metre of water in places I reckon. :)

Anyway have fun and talk to you during the week.

Will be wanting to take the red car for a bit of a drive next weekend to run in the new motor before heading to the track on the 11th.

Yeh but we ain't doin the Condamine River run now anyways... Just the Queen Mary and whatever folk wanna do.

:bawl: :)
Aggh Bugger!!! I have an overnighter fishin trip lined up with a great friend on his 60 foot boat and few pisshead fun work mates across the full next weekend 6th and 7th Feb.

Following Saturday 13th Feb I am off on a wide blue yonder Charter Boat, sussin out what the Goldie Coast Offshore Fishin scene has to offer.

Yay I have one clear weekend atm of 20th and 21st Feb.

From what I see on the diary, the 27th and 28th is Adams 1,000k full weekend cruise

I would love to have been out and about following the Red Track car on its run-in sojourne but too much on atm.
