Dont aim for a power figure mate - a dyno will read whatever it reads - i would say have an aim as to where you want the power delivered - early, mid range punch or a high rpm screamer.

It will be easier to make power through the manual box, but i still think it is the wrong way to go about it!

Have a chat to a mechanic or tuner about what you want out of the car, and choose a cam accordingly

For example - i wanted a mid range punch that would not lose down low and still go well up top - so I chose a 224/228@112 - as big as i would dare on the standard stall on the A6.

Hope it all works out well - cams are very cheap with the dollar so good!

just intake, tune , exhaust and cam. probably not suited to curcuit racing as its more top end power.

I've never been east of Las Vegas but done LA heaps of times and there are a million speed shops. Secret is to find a good one. The tax is highest in California but it's a more competitive market so the prices should be lower.

Not sure they do "duty free" but a google maps search of "los angeles" +"speed shop" +performance shows quite a few around LA.

Hopefully there will be some members that already have purchased and can recommend a good shop for you.
