Here are the details I've got posted on carsales:
2003 Holden VY SS Ute - Black
Engine:
LS1 with baby cam, over the radiator cold air intake, Dyno tuned, extractors and exhaust. All engine and driveline work performed by Sam’s Performance. Car makes 325hp at the rear wheels and comes with Dyno graph. It has been serviced every 5000km, since I have had it, at Sam’s Performance, using only Royal Purple oils. It has been tuned on BP Ultimate and has never had another petrol since then.
Driveline:
3.9 diff gears, 3500rpm stall converter, reconditioned gear box with only 4000km travelled since being put in, shift points remapped and fluid pressures tightened up.
Body:
Extremely straight, debadged, tray liner, Holden hard cover ute lid and soft tonneau, heavy duty rubber Holden tray mat, tow bar, darkest legal tint, front and rear parking sensors.
Wheels/Tyres:
18” VY HSV Clubsport wheels powdercoated black, Kumho Ecsta Semi Slicks 245/40/18.
Suspension:
Brand new stock shocks and springs fitted with only 4000 kms on them. Used lowered Pedders shocks and springs included.
Stereo (add $4000 to price):
Seas Lotus Reference Splits, Audison LRx3 amp, Morel Ultimo sub, Dynamat Xtreme sound deadening, Dynaabsorb sound diffusers, custom sub box next to fuel tank in tray so there is full range of movement for passenger seat. This system cost $5600 and is currently in the vehicle, however I have all the standard components that can be put back in easily. I am not fussed if the buyer wants me to put the old stereo back in because this is easily the best sounding and set up stereo I have ever heard and will be simply buying exactly the same thing for my next car. The install is stealth and runs off the stock head-unit and thus does not attract unwanted attention. The system was supplied and installed by FHRX studios in Sydney and has been extensively tuned. It is capable of 125-130db with perfect clarity.
Interior:
Interior is stock with dash in great condition, Holden SS Floor mats. Only down sides is a small hole in the drivers seat and worn steering wheel (see pictures). I have used black real sheepskin seat covers (that have just been dry cleaned) the whole time I’ve owned the car and will include these in the sale.
Summary:
This car is extremely reliable and will make the perfect daily driver. Well mannered and practical in traffic but capable of running 12s quarter miles all day. This is the perfect car to cart your tools and trailer around during the week in comfort and safety and then unleash on the weekend for some fun! Or just use as a tough street machine. It has been mostly highway driven and I can’t even remember the last time I used the tray, certainly i’ve never put anything heavy in the back of it. Always garaged by fussy non-smoking owner, you will be hard pressed to find classier examples. Receipts for all work performed. The only reason I am selling is due to a new job, I am looking for a VE Maloo and unfortunately the missus won’t give me clearance to have 2 V8 utes!
