Hi Fellas..
I need to head out past wisemans ferry on Sunday as I have a bike race @ the del rio riverside resort. Only problem being, last time I went there in my girlfriend's Mirage i thought to myself no way in hell my HSV would get onto that ferry! The step up looks huge and the angle the road comes down is horrible to get a smooth line on it!
So I thought i'd ask anyone on here if they've done it? Is there another way around there as I can't seem to find one :bawl: knew I should've bought a 4wd :p
I have a lowered VE HSV. Thanks!

I have a lowered VZ clubby and don't have any problems with the Wisemens ferry. As always take it slow and take it at an angle.

If your coming from the Mtns you can go the windsor, wilberforce, ebenezer, lower portland and leets vale way? that will bring you in on the webbs creek side which is the side you want.
Stupid ferry i will be attending a festival at del rio the following weekend and they are not allowing campervans to use the ferry so ive got to go the gosford way up and around and then back down. What a pain that is.

Matt, I daresay with how large the HSV bars are, even though your height looks a million bucks I wouldn't risk scraping that front bar, it is quite steep.

might be safest to jus take the mirage again mate. i know its frustaiting to ride in a POS when the HSV sits at home (ive been there) but hey its better than a fuked front bar.

I've been on it a few times and it also depends on the tide!! Higher tide is best. So you're not only contending with the bloody ramps and the angle they make, but bloody mother nature too!

Thanks for the replies guys... I think I'll try and take my dads new camry. Downhill bike will struggle to fit in the mirage haha...

If your going to Del Rio you want the Webbs creek ferry not Wisemans ferry. I was there on thursday in my ss ute (lowered 3.5 inches) and no problems. The river is right up at the moment from all the rain so maybe the ramps not as steep at the moment, but I would do it any time.
