Hi, I have recently purchased your Extreme XA Coil Over kit to install into a VR commodore.

I want to use your adjustable strut top mounts but am concerned with what else is required for fitment.
Please see attached images of items I have. Is this all that is required?
To me it looks like something is amiss or I need some other items for a successful changeover.
Do you have any images or breakdown\sequence of parts required for the conversion?
It looks like I may have issues with the top keeper plates unless the adjustable mounts are adjusted to the central position.

thanks for any assistance,
muttley383.

Hi muttley383,
Sorry for the delayed reply but I could not check the spec on the kit until returning to work today. I am aware that you have also contacted us via our web site e-mail and this reply will cover that request as well.

The alignment kit you have is not missing any parts as I checked our stock this morning and that is how they are packaged. There should be no problem converting as the top mount on the ExtremeXA's is the same design as the O.E. and will fit into the adjuster plate with no issues.

We are unaware of any problems fitting and aligning cars fitted with them.

If you have any specific alignment issues E.G. .. Requirement for large caster or camber changes let me know and I can check further otherwise you should be fine with the current kit.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I was curious because the top retainer plate that is reused from original equipment is not a lot larger than the hole cutout in the fixed plate of the adjustable bearing mount. If there is to be to much adjustment via the adjustable top then the retainer plate will be sitting in a void on one side. (I have no plans of running excessive camber or caster)

I would have thought that it would be better if the adjustable plate hole was approx 25mm in diameter and a different top retainer plate used. (eg: 60mm dia).
This would allow the adjustment slots in the bearing plates to remain available for adjustment without having to remove the top retaining plate. I know the adjustable plate could be adjusted initially without having the retaining plate tightened down. I may be thinking about this too much but I am just thinking of potential problems before I commence fitment next weekend.

Thanks agian for your reply.

There is no need to worry about the top washer as it main role is to hold the shock in place when the wheel is fully extended e.g. on a jack, hoist or similar. During normal driving conditions the shock is held in place by the mass of the vehicle pushing the top mount into the locator cup on the underside of the mounting plates.
Hope this puts your mind at ease.
