It's a beautiful track, but the two races felt like we were watching a private track day or something. I can't wait until they come home. Imagine the roar for Lowndes driving a Holden on home soil for the first time in 10 years? It'll be fantastic.

Yeah they all banged on about how much they love there car racing but were all the stands empty for a reason? Looked like qualifying Friday over here.. I doubt it will last unless they will just keep throwing bucket loads at it.. It's a nice looking track however It's not a fast track.. It echos Gold Coast with lots of sharp slow corners.. I do like the pits away from the track.. That's novel.

Fantastic track and facility but i do agree with the fact there seems to be no atmosphere with the stands empty...but as along as the V8 Supercars makes some form of money off the round and spreads the brand they'll keep going there.

Cant wait to get the Supercars back home after the next round and hear the crowd go nuts, especially towards the 888 team, whether love or loath!

The track looked a bit sterile without the fans with flags etc.

I loved how the pits exited via the tunnel.

Track looked a bit more interesting than some of the other modern F1 tracks, had some elevation change which was nice.

The name of the game is exposure. They do not expect crowds for the V8s or to make money. What they want is lots of great images shown in Australia and people having a postive perception of Abu Dhabi so that for their next holiday they will consider a stopover/visit. The F1 in Melbourne is the same save that they get decent crowds (as long as they have the V8s running) - Victoria is out of pocket tens of millions but they say the international exposure is worth it - having a V8s round would be cheap compared to F1.

Concede the "atmosphere" was lacking.

Looked a great rack to drive and the inbuilt high grip runoff areas meant no safety cars and minimal chances on putting a car into the wall and totaling it.

This was the first V8 Supercars race I've watched and I've got to say the track they were on was amazing. Must be nice being able to wake up in your hotel room to the sound of those V8's.

IMO the track is too big - and wide to a degree for the supercars.

There doesn't appear to be any atmosphere (or crowd to be honest)

That being said, i loved watching the race under cover of darkness.
