View Full Version : VE Ute V8 mufflers fit ona sedan?

Hi guys
Can anyone tell me if V8 quad mufflers (twin tips on each side) from a VE Ute will fit on a sedan? any responce will be greatly appreciated.

Yes they will fit BUT they are different to the sedan and are a little bit longer.
The utes have longer tips which come out of the rear muffler and will need to be cut down to suit the sedan.....

I had a young bloke buy my VE Maloo ute rear mufflers & tried to put them on a SV6, he stated that they did'nt fit...'sorry' he did'nt verify why they never fit???...cheers....

Thanks guys ..i believe your right mustanger...I been told they are longer and need to be cut to fit...I'll look into that ...i'm in two minds do I buy them (2nd hand) and got to the trouble or wait for SS V8 sedan ones? God give me a sign!

As already mentioned they ute mufflers are about 15cm longer from the exit of the muffler to the twin tip.
What are you trying to achieve? If it's better v8 sound then you will want after market mufflers or the HSV mufflers.

V8 mufflers with quad tips are gonna drone like hell when fitted to an alloytec V6. I have already tried it with the better half's V6 CalaisV. Don't know why, they just do. In summary, don't bother - it's not worth it.
