I am looking at getting my VE SV6 front bumper and bonnet resprayed (Atomic Green) and wanted to get a rough price from the community before i ring around.
I have a funny feeling that they will say that the front quarter panels will have to be done too (to blend in). They dont need to be done but.... yeah.
Can anyone provide a rough price from experience? and how long they would need the car for?
Should probably mention i'm in Canberra
Thanks

a very rough estimate for a front bar might be around $500. i remember when i had a skyline the general rule of thumb for a front bar was approx $500 to buy and $500 to paint & fit
could be similar for the bonnet. if they wanted to do the guards as well, you could prob shop around and get the whole car sprayed for cheaper.
im also interested to see what people say about this

It all depends of the amount of work required to prep them for paint. Painting process is labour intensive, so it could be anything from about $1,200 up to a couple grand...and yes the front gaurds will require blending with Atomic Green.

i was quoted 4500 for a front end respray in black, bad stone chips, that included front bar bonnet and quater panels,

Thinking around $1500 to $2000 mark it all depends on how much work is involved ie is the bar and bonnet all stoned chipped if so there is a lot of work to bring them back to new condition, sanding back, priming them all sanding that back again
Yes the front guards will have to be done with that colour if any panel shop tells you they can do it with out painting the guards take it some where else the only way to get the color spot on with a job like that is to blend the guards

Dont know about the price it will vary from shop to shop a bit but Yup you guessed it right with the blending bit. I have a atomic ute with a small 2cm long scratch from some asshole with a ring walking past my rear quater and have been told whole side of the ute has to be resprayed! I guess I will have to learn to live with it or go a custom paint 2 tone scheme, to justify the outlay.

I had 2 bars done recently (in Ballarat) $300 for the Monaro (Devil yellow and a plastic repair - f'ing cat!) and $250 for the Adventra (typical sandblast look after 200,000K of highway.
I have a car bra - best thing ever!

As the title mentions, "rough respray price" reckon you could get a rough respray anywhere for next to nothing...but surely you wouldn't be happy with a rough respray:lmao:
Couldn't help it...
