Hey guys need your help with this one.
Considering buying these if they won't cost me too much to fix.
Any one know how much I'd be looking at approximately to fix these up?
It's probably a bit hard judging by not actually seeing the wheels but any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Charlie

How much is the seller asking?
Here's the going rate through Wheel King, for brand new with warranty items. Rims like these with machined finishes can be pretty average to repair, and you certainly do not want anyone machining off any metal to "repair" them!

Thanks planetdavo. They're asking for around $600.
So you're saying not to bother? I'd like them to be able to be fixed, otherwise I
won't bother buying them. My standard Cv8-R wheels are in perfect condition
so I don't really want to put on these wheels if I can't get them fixed 100%.

I had my wheels repaired by advanced wheel repairs in moorabbin and the charged me $150 per wheel, came up better than new.
Id say you'd be looking at the same

I feel it would be best that people giving quotes on past experiences clarify whether their rims were fully painted, or had machine finishing on them. There is no point getting told prices for rims that can be easily sprayed when he needs quotes for rims with a machined alloy finish.

my rims were repainted, re rolled, balanced and repaired for $150 per wheel

About 3.5 years ago I put a small scrape on one of the VYI R8 rims I had on my VZ SS. Went to about 6 rim repair places between Moorabbin and Dandenong all wanted $130 - $150 to fix it.

About 3 weeks ago a Holden dealer is selling a brand new set of these rims with the Bridgestone Potenza's, If my memory serves me correct they were only $1850...

Charlie, we've got guys up here that would do them for about $100 a rim. Depending how deep the rash is, will determine the final result. Most of the time you cant tell where it was and the wheels look brand new. Just shop around for a mobile guy or have a look at who the dealerships use.
you could powder coat them .
My rims were rashed bad , guy before me must have been a touch parker .
I powdercoated them black , worked out well .
the sand blasting got rid/smoothed out the marks .

These guys are on the Gold Coast. My boss's had rims off 2 cars repaired by them.(Got to love our NSW roads) came back like new. Our local tyre shop send rims to them also. Cheers Kim.

it's a machined, clear coated lip. It won't be worth the repair unless you dont mind if the machined section is painted but they wont look anything like they do from factory.
