Im seriously looking into getting a set of XA's to replace my king spring w/ monroe shocks package.

Cheers

Arif, ring Michael Green at the Lawnton Store. He's the one that sorted out my car and then supplied the XA's for Northy's car.

Adam,

Is he the guy that came on that cruise?

Scott,

Do pedders make bushes for R34 Sedans? I would get killed by the gf if I came home with coilovers and nothing for her car.. lol. It already has cradle bushes, coilovers and caster rods.

How true. I was quoted $2500 for supplying/fitting/4WA on XA's in Canberra but then everything costs more here...

I really like the XA's and am strongly considering the same, but tell me Scott, if I went a different route, what should I be looking at for buying a set of your SportsRyder shocks (#9295 x 2, #9464L and #9464R I think they are) to go with my existing #2965 front springs and #2955 rear springs (I couldn't find prices on your web-site)?

Hey guys,

I just recently fitted XA's to my R8 and what a difference!! I payed $2500, 4WA, Fitted, with Pedders Tower Bar. I had mine fitted in Townsville and Peter the manager was very helpful. He took me throught the setup afterwards and i'll be dropping my car in a week for its courtesy checkup.

Again couldn't be happier with the result. Firm as, Flat as and not to harsh :headbang: Setting 17 Front, 15 Rear and approx 605mm Front and 600mmm Rear (wouldn't go any lower lol, Peter told me he would put it at the limit, but i think the workshop guys put it lower).

That's exactly what I have heard. I was talking to another member a few months back when down in Melbourne and he told me that he fitted up XA's to his VE after doing a lot of other mods prior. He said the single biggest improvement in all of his mods was the XA's, and he went on to say that if he modded a car again, the XA's would be the first thing on his list.

How much for replacement springs? I am looking at changing the rear springs in my Tein Superstreets to a lowered Pedders set if this is possible? I have wound down the rears as far as they can go and its still not low enough for my liking... is this possible???

I am unable to answer this question for you as we have not fitted our coils to any other manafacturers coil overs as they were designed solely for our product range.

they are cheap and they are built to suit the Teins rather than hacking other springs on
i have had front and rear custom springs done for my Teins to suit my application

Thats a good idea, I might give them a buzz... What sort of money did they charge you if you don't mind me asking? Will changing the springs to a shorter spring drop it down a bit?

Edit: Just gave them a call and they are going to get back to me tomorrow... I only want another 15-20mm lower so they said they might be able to use something on shelf..

Scott, I'm putting a set of the XA coilovers in next monday.
what i wanted to know is (going off topic), are you able to track down a pedders store in victoria that currently has a rear swaybar on the shelf for a ve ss sedan, i've made quite a few calls to some stores and am trying to source one before monday next week (22nd)

I have checked all the Vic stores stocks and there are none in stock at the moment.

I would have suggest that by fitting the ExtremeXA's on their own that you may find that there is no real need to add a swaybars. The VE O.E. bars worked well with my VE prior to changing the bars for a product photo session.

By not changing the bars at the same time you will be better able to appreciate the change to your handling that is delivered by the ExtremeXA's alone. This can also deliver you savings. By doing work in stages the right suspension balance is often achieved for a great deal less expense as you end up not fitting additional components that deliver only minimal performance improvements.

How long does it take to fit w/ wheel alignment?

It only took me a few hrs to do mine by myself in my garage without and air tools, So it shouldn't take them very long.

A ballpark would be in the area of 2.5 - 3 hours to fit and fully wheel align the car. This would be dependant on the amount of work in the store on the day you had the kit fitted.

Scott.

Thanks goes out to Ian at the Ipswich store! Organised the xa's for me for $1800 and also got an assortment of bushes and swaybars for the girlfriends skyline!
