LOTS AND LOTS..
See here.... http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=128686&highlight=VE+CLUTCH
Has all the info you need.. Part numbers, techline numbers for repair etc..
Unless you fk'd yourself through abuse, you should have a good case for warranty claim, if it falls within the scope of the fix..

Then stop talking to holden direct and see your holden dealer, that's what they are there for.
If they play dumb just asked to use a computer and show them all the threads on here

there is always one isnt there...
when your holden dealer tells you holden have come back to them telling you that you pay 25% and they can do nothing you go up the ladder to the top..... And to do that you have to get onto holden aust.... im just here trying to help everyone out as alot have these issues ..

People answering this thread need to make it VEEEEEEERRRRRRRY clear whether they are talking about the sticking pedal issue, or a non pedal related "other" clutch issue.
It is very important to the question he is asking. By his post, I don't believe it relates to that.
If he is talking about a non pedal sticking related issue, clutches have had failures since man first created the car. The BIG question, though, is how much is being attributed to driver 'technique"...

Very good point Dave, l shudder every time l go for a drive with someone driving a manual car and they hold the car still at the lights by riding the clutch

With comments like that your less likely to get everyone to post here so you get an accurate number of people with problems.
Your best bet is going through the already well established thread and counting the number of people on there that have said they have this problem, rather than starting a new thread for the same topic.

hahahaha, so you have obviously modified your car or drive it hard enough to throw the belt off but still expect holden to foot the bill, keep diggin mate, you'll get to the bottom soon enough, then you can jump right in :lmao:

It's amazing the sheer number of people using the "petrol powered handbrake" that consider themselves to be "very gentle" with their clutches, and in no way to blame for their (warranty rejected) premature clutch failures...

the best way to get counts is to do a Poll where you can get the numbers from different points people vote for.
Poll EG
I have clutch sticking to the floor issues
I have gear selection issues
I'm just a Hoon who wants stuff for free (not pointing this at anyone just ran out of options)
etc
Then you will get your numbers without too much posting and rambling

Blind Fred will tell you Holden's factory clutches are for Grannying around only.
Any spirited driving will eventually wear through a unit that's really only to get through the warranty period. period...
Cheers

You should read the post in the sticking pedal thread from Uncle Tone, with his twin turbo VE.
I know I'll upset a few people with this one, but by far the biggest variable involving clutch failures is the peanut behind the wheel...

If you have (say) 600hp, but only use 500hp, it's great for "driveline longevity"...:lmao:

its down the bottom when you first create a thread that option. so would have to start a new one or ask the mods to add that option to this one, you can't now only when starting one.

My car also had a new clutch put in early on due to some Fu(kwit from Holden not doing up a bolt properly and destroying my clutch/flywheel and Bell housing.
Also Nick I can not pm you!

Ive just had my clutch replaced as well. Picked the car up on tuesday.
Along with a brand new clutch i have a brand new driveline, tailshaft, both CV's and re adjusted handbrake all under warranty.
All this because originally i had a leak in my driveshaft, thanks to marranos' for picking it out, and once i picked it up my handbrake was just a lever which done nothing at all, my clutch was sticking which has never stuck to the floor previously(MY9.5, has the "fix")
Anyways turned around seen the dealer and booked it in 2 weeks later. Low and behold driveshaft incorrectly installed, contributed to the above failing. Oh and that was ofcourse never admitted.
Must say was very pleased in the end and the service manager was a treat to deal with......
Now i just need a new engine and ill basically have a new car again :D oh wait it is a new car

guys had holden do a clutch kit on my ve today due to the fact my clutch was sticking to the floor...
well get the car back today everything works all good need pedal/clutch/flywheel yet something not right with it.....
wheni rev the car past 3000rpm and put the clutch to the flor to change gear i feel like engine vibration in the pedal????
what could this be? the clutch not de gagging quite enough? lose flywheel/unbalanced? why since the change the awfull vibration in the pedal???
under 3000rpm shifts no prob but after 3000rpm when the clutch is too the floor the vibration occurs
