Why would Holden go to a V8 without AFM?

because AFM is crap, i did 20000 klm in 3 months in a WM AFM CAPRICE and noticed no better economy over the previous 07 car but with a slight vibration when the AFM cuts in !! if you want lower running costs de-activate the AFM and put the thing on liquid injection lpg like ive done on my GRANGE!

i would think unless HSV go LS7 or LS9, which they won't, the new model will not get an LS3.

also it wont be a VEII as they stoped with the 'I' 'II' 'III' back in 06 with the VZ's. More than likley VF or so forth.

There exists a L99 in the Camaro, which is basically LS3 architecture with AFM enabled.

Puts out 300kw.

Holden should jump aboard this engine, because otherwise the Coyote is going to smoke the current 6.0l.

The only other option would be to put a cam on the current V8, which I'm no expert in, but it would lead to a more lumpy idle??? - not good especially in the Caprice/V and CalaisV.
