Hello,
I have orderd and paid for some parts from the US. How long would people wait before you got worried??
If the before service was awsome then once you paid the service tuned to hopeless would you be worried?
Anybody had this happen to them and it all worked out fine?

It would depend if they sent it air freight or slow boat .
If it was air freight, you should get it in less than a week.
If it was coming by boat , it could take 8 weeks or more ........cheers

Most things I've bought from the states usually got here within 7 days but it depends on how it was sent as mustanger said. Follow it up with an email to at least get some confirmation it has been sent. Have you got a tracking number ? Most of them use UPS and you can track it online. Just be mindfull that sometimes the last 30% of the trip doesn't get updated till you've got the package in your hands

Thanks for the replies,
They havent sent the parts yet. They are stating that the stock has yet to arrive which I guess is fair enough but when I was making the deal they never once said I would have to wait 3 months for the parts.

Ok,
So it has been 2 months since I have made payment and the supplier is still not keeping me updated and are still claiming the crank is 1 week off. The crank has been 1 week off for the past 6 weeks.
I paid $6000 US for the parts and they have told me everything is there except for the Crank. At no time did the supplier tell me I would have to wait 2 months for the parts.
New question: Should I attempt to cancel my order??
Any suggestions from people who have bought overseas would be great.

Who's the company?
I would be asking for it all to be shipped minus the crank and the crank sent once it arrived...
I wouldn't have been happy paying upfront $6k and waiting this long to see anything.
Have you phoned them?

I dont want to name the company just yet.
I have been dealing via email so that everything is recorded. I am not happy paying all up but I assumed that nothing would be done until payment was made. This has been a very bad expirience as the $ I am using is not been easy to get. Its 2 jobs working 7days to get a little bit to spend on my car.
I dont want to be over reacting but I will never deal like this again.
Dont get me wrong I understand some things take time but I was never told I would have to wait this long. I now look like a jerk to my builder.

3 months is a bit poor you'd think they let you know there was a big lead time on a crank, i just got an order from SPEED INC that took 3 weeks but inc a custom fly cutting tool. Normally if in stock 1 week.
Hope it turns UP

Its part of ths stress importers face all the time. Thats why we try to keep the favorite items in stock. We have dumped a few suppliers because of delays like that and one place even shipped us the totally wrong heads after a 4 month wait and customs payment etc.

Been there done that, you will get your stuff eventually if you've gone through a reputable suppler or a sponser from a Forum.
Seems a long wait though!
If you don't name 'suppler' how can we give you our insite? We may have, or not dealt with them or heard of others that have.
Cheers

I have not named the supplier as right now I only wanted peoples opinions on what has happened not who I have ordered through.
I have come to conclusion that I will recieve my parts eventually but there is no rush or concern from the supplier. I have not enjoyed any of this and have asked for a refund from the supplier. Worse case scenario is my parts come over in a few months, best case is a refund today some time or parts are sent.
As I said earlier the before payment service was much different to after I had paid.
Lesson learned I guess.

Well, let the rest of us know whom you've been dealing with so it doesn't happen to us, not to much to ask!!!!

I recieved a reply email today.
It appears the Callies cranks have been sent and the supplier should recieve mine soon. It must be a coincidence that the day I sent a email cancelling my order callies have some cranks.
I did not want to name the supplier as I do not want the sh!t storm of what happens when you bag someone online (even if everything is true).
I have a feeling that the supplier will come good in the near future but I will not be buying again.
