Seems like a waste of money to buy an SV6 then spend on a turbo for it, why not buy an SS, you also get better seats. Is the V6 going to be a good conversion proposition? I suspect also a few years down the track, a turbo'ed SV6 will seriously suffer depreciation wise, would probably struggle to get even stock SV6 price, I guess a lot depends on the conversion itself, and also being able to show service records would help.

Dude, if you have a 4 year loan, focus on paying that off... Spending more cash on a turbo kit won't be worth it... At the end of the day, as mentioned above, re-sale will be terrible, as i don't think a turbo SV6 will do well in a few years time on the market, especially when people can just buy a stock SS that's going to be reliable and safe.
I'm on my Ps too, got a VZ V6 calais.. and all i did was cosmetic crap like lowering, rims, and a catback exhaust... now all i'm doing is saving my dollars til im off my Ps, and will be able to afford a V8... At the end of the day, no matter how much you spend on the V6, you will never get as much power or performance than if you had spent it on a v8...
But hey, that's me... If you really want to go ahead with it, good luck and let us know how it goes!
