Hello all

Just wanted to get some feedback

I have recently purchased some 1 7/8 4 into 1 pacemaker headers

I have a cat back and Cats are going to be organiseD from Sureflo

I have mafless Tune done

Just wondering if these are going to be O.K

I know I have been told that these are over kill. But I plan to do Cam work down the track in a year.

I do run down the strip every meet as I love it
Currently running in the low 14's with a P.B of 14.098

Just wondering if these Headers will effect this at all. Ie give me slower times

Any help would be great

Wont have a negative effect, but may not give the full advantage till the cam is done.

on the crewie i would have gone try t's cos they are a heavy bitch and need all the torque they can get. Look at some 4.11 gears

Hi,
I've got a 6.0ltr crewman & put a FE cam from Steve from Oztrack. Didn't need to do diff gears.
I was going to do gears first then Cam but when I spoke to Steve he recommended do cam see how it goes then you can still go gears. The cam he gave me is a little beauty works from idle.
See my other posts to get more details.

Good Luck. (done: CAI, headers, 100cats, FE cam, VZ R8 wheels) next is brake upgrade then suspension.

im using the 1 7/8 di fillipo system with hi flow cats and noticed the peak hp lasted a lil longer then stock headers. there is a smaller blower cam in there aswell but seems to be run nicely. only problems is they sit very close to the ground so watch out for speed bumps

Cheers. lucky for me the Crewees do not sit to low....lol

Any one had any low down power issues with these

I do not have a Cam yet as this will accur down the track

1 7/8 are a bit big for an NA Crewy aren't they? I thought they were more suited for forced induction applications?

I've always been told 1 3/4 is big enough for an NA engine...

Not sure bout the power difference but i know the 1 7/8 headers sound better than 1 3/4 :)

This is a hard 'fact' to get past for sure.

My primary function is to save messing around down the track where I would need to change the headers if and when i get the head ork done.

A nicer sound would be good and a little better performance would be great

I ran 1-7/8 DF's on my stock LS1. Didn't notice any difference in power, so I'm sure you'll be OK.
