We have a VE MY10 Calais V with the factory Bluetooth system and it seems to work fine with my Blackberry but my wife is having problems with her new I Phone connecting to the Bluetooth system.
We have got our neighbour's phone to pair & work with the car and thought the problem was with the I Phone Bluetooth so she returned to Apple & they gave her a brand new phone but the connection problems are still there.
I have got the I Phone to pair with the car (using my key) , entered code 1234 etc and it has worked:confused: via the Blutooth speaker system however when we turn the ignition off and/or use her key the car goes through the "voice in" process but does not "beep" at the end of "voice in" and any calls made will not go through the bluetooth system (hitting the phone button on the wheel either disconnects the call or one party cannot hear the other).
Has anyone had any similar problems with I Phone?
Anyone got any ideas what the problem may be?
Is there some sort of Bluetooth software flash update which may solve the problem?

I'm in the same boat, IPhone 3gs that doesn't want to play. when i was last in at holden i asked about it - Apparently the iPhone has 'limited connectivity'. I believe that this is because apple stripped a lot of the bluetooth 'stuff' out of the iphone to prevent file sharing. It also why in a lot of cases iphones will only conect with apple accessories.

I'd love to be proven wrong though its a little frustrating that if i get out of a wm caprice and into the misses ford fiesta, my ipone pairs flawlessly in her car.

Ive got an iphone that works fine in my ve ss, old boys ve gts and ve international. He also has an iphone that works fine with all.

Can you try her phone on another ve, or another iphone on her car ??

Touch wood, the bluetooth in my MY08 works flawlessly with my iPhone 3GS....
This issue seems to be random with some units having issues and others not..

I recently bought the new iPhone 3GS and it connects to the blue tooth in my VESS without any issue so far. People I have spoken to using it say there is alot less echo than when I was using my Nokia.

Just as a thought have you sync'ed your iPhone to itunes and updated the operating software for the phone? This might help with the connectivity issue. You could also try a reset of the cars BCM.

One of her friend has a Toyota Kluger & I Phone that all works well with bluetooth so she tried to get her friend to pair her I Phone with the Calais and it had the same connection issues as her phone.
I'll check with her about sync'n it to itunes and updating the operating software when she gets home.
Phil - What is the car's BCM?

I have an MY10 SV6 and the iphone worked perfectly with the bluetooth car system for the first 3 months. It even worked perfectly with voice dialing.

Now voice dialing doesnt work at all and the phone sometimes doesnt conmect. I have no idea why it has changed.
