This is probably one of the few discussions between manufacturers that hasn't been locked after pointless fighting. This is actually a really good discussion so far, so what is YOUR problem?

One of the main reasons why HSV/FPV/Ford/Holden are so great today is the healthy rivalry, keeping each other honest and forcing continual improvements. This is what is occuring here, so let the 'FORD boys' have their say. How one manufacturer moves often DEFINES how the other manufacturer moves/reacts etc.

Why are you comparing an aftermarket (Walkinshaw) arrangement with a production car arrangement? Different kettle of fish entirely; one (the SC Coyote) is mass produced through economies of scale hence should have a relatively decent RRP that your average Australian can afford; it is also required to meet a bunch of regulations and emissions standards. The other (SC WS) is a very expensive niche market offering for cashed up Australians that has to meet very few Australian standards/regulations and is a complete AFTERMARET arrangement. They are worlds apart.

The general public is voting in the BILLIONS of dollars and millions of units against big cubes (and big cars - look at how HUMMER is doing...bankrupt!) in all formats (4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl etc). People want small, high tech engines that offer power AND economy AND reliability AND driveability AND environmentally friendly etc, etc, etc. Us enthusiasts that look at the aftermarket are a VERY small contingent.

Getting back on topic in an attempt to keep things civil...

The following vid shows the dyno runs to tune the car and then all of the 1/4 mile runs so far by Evolution Performance after the tune. They are having some difficulties working out the new ECU and believe they can get more power out of it yet.
