Just curious what all the 215kw/220kw GTS/Senator owners have managed to get down the 1/4
My VR GTS is the 6 spd man and is standard bar dropping the rear ressi and I got a 14.10@100mph on the street tyres.

At the last drag day my first ever drag racing effort produced 14.4 @ 98.25 mph on street tyres.
Car is VT Senator with A4 and HRT blueprinted stroker.
Great fun!!! :burnout: :burnout: :driving: :burnout: :burnout:

There excelent times guys, personally i thought a VT GTS series 1 would be struggling to break a 14, but a 14.4 with an auto, must be a freak:doh:

Wheels got a 14.99 out of an Auto VT GTS (I bought the mag off Ebay a fortnight ago). My target was a 14.4, the best time VS GTS-R M6 ran in its day.
So when I pulled a 14.4 I was stoked!!!
My car is a bit of a freak I guess, 189 rwkw stock is pretty good out of the Holden engine, although because they are so rare I don''t have anyone to compare notes with!!!!!
I guess the boys at HRT built me a good one!!!!!!!

If I remember rightly, MOTOR did a test with the VT1 GTS (Blueprint, M6) and couldn't better 15.25 for the 1/4. This was in late 1997. I don't know who the driver was or why they didn't have another go, especially when you have a look at HRT Stroker's result. Surely the Senator would be a bit beefier and therefore slower than the GTS, especially as an A4.

I've had my GTS on 3 different dynos, 2 Dyno Dynamics and one DynaPack. I got 243rwhp and 245rwhp on the Dyno Dynamics and 260rwhp on the DynaPack. I think my engines a bit of a freak.
For Perth people the dynos were :
Dyno Dynamics : Chipmasters : 245hp 182kw
Dyno Dynamics : D&T Performance : 243hp 181kw
DynaPack : APA : 260hp 194kw
DynaPack is supposed to be the most accurate as it actually bolts onto both wheel hubs therefore has no slippage but calibration as with all dynos can be out of course.

Umm was that you I had a run with at Raveswood ? If it was I have to say you've got you're self a good one for sure. I thought you would have started doing some mods to it by now.

Sounds like you have got a ripper there,I wonder if it is a HRT blueprint motor

Ravenswood? Nah I've only had the car for just over a year.
Was the HRT blueprint motor an option on GTS's? I thought they were only an option on the GTS-Rs. And the cars fitted with one have a special Holden Racing Team sticker on them don't they?

There surely would be a badge or something in the engine bay if that were the case????
Ring or e-mail HSV with your vin no & build no and they will tell you for sure

Congratulations mate thats a great time for a stocker.
Most testing shows they were running 14.8's standard but probably auto's.
Add a nice Group A manifold and tune to suit and let that baby breathe.
Can you tell a blueprinted HSV from a standard one, do they have different ID plates etc?

Hi, Dave HRT MOy here...
That's a great time. But rememebr that the motoring mags (Wheels included) test with half a tank of petrol and with two people on board.
So that accounts for at least 80 to 90Kg's.
Also, the mags often get quite tired test cars. Especially performance models. Quite often the clutches are past their best and they miss out on even little perfomance lifts like low restriction air cleaners and even a new set of plugs.
So well done on your 14.4.
The big trick now is how much faster can you make without spending a shedload of cash....

I think mines still on the original plugs and leads hahhaha only had 46,000 on the clock when I bought it and I havent changed them, its creeping up to 80,000 now :(
New plugs and leads and I might drop that 14.10 to a 13.9 hahaha :headbang:

The blueprint motor was also an option on the VS11GTS and the little blue HRT enhanced sticker was an option as well.
The best way to check (if you bought the car second hand) is to check the owners manual (they noted the change in that) or if you still think that your car's been upgraded, but you have no proof. Simply call HSV and quote the build number.
HSV carried the blueprint option into the VT series on cars as well, with a slight increas in power, due to the base motor going up fom 215 to 220KW.
HRT were always shady on exactly how much more power the "blueprinting" gave. But estimates were generally around 230 to 240KW's.
Not much for the original $10 500.00 cost. A little supercharger fully installed and ready to go gives you 300+KW's for substantially less than $10.5k ! !
New plugs and leads and I might drop that 14.10 to a 13.9 hahaha
50HP shot of N2O,should see you deep in the 13's:burnout:
