Hey fellas, Chasing a pre-built high powered 6ltr to save the hassle of doing up my standard L98 at a slow pace.... Can anyone recommend a peformance place doing pre-builds???, i've done a google search and had a look through some of the Ls1 threads with no luck... Chasing roughly 500hp N/A and happy to import from over east or overseas.. Getting local would just be a plus... Cheers in advance for any help/info that can be offered..

You can import a LS3 based 403 from SpeedInc (who is a forum sponsor) for around 10.5K delivered to you door. But you will then lack local back up if somethng goes wrong. I no i would perfer to spend alot more and get the back then be stuck with a dodgy engine (not saying it will be ).

Go local. SQP in Maddington is the go. John builds engines like this day in day out. Local support and knowledge and trust me you will need it upping your engine to a hottie.

AGIT8D imported a speedinc 403ci. PM him and ask him if he'd do it again.

Yeah heard of Street Quick Performance. They have that sky blue Manaro punching it down the local 1/4 mile.. Has anyone had work done by them or imported through them that can recommend??

I'd recommend going down to his shop and having a chat. It's worth going down just to see what's in the workshop at the time. One day there's a doorslammer, the next a new GTS with a big HP LSX.

John built my 427ci LS7 and I couldn't be happier. Cruising on weekends away and the odd trip to the strip for a 10 second timeslip. It's soon to be revamped for my VX I'm building at the moment so I can take on these other quick naturally aspirated LSX's running stupendously fast times here in WA.

go locally especially with active automotive and SQP getting the results.

Ive got a 402 that SQP built, and it is bloody good, and I even give it a gut full of :nos: every now and then for a bit of an extra rush - trust anyone who recommends John (SQP) build you a motor

Im in the process of sorting out pricing for him to build me another 402 for a drag car that Im in the process of piecing together atm - he is a straight shooter that wont shit you around:goodjob:

Yes John did build KPWISHN'S (Lewis) 427ci motor, and he build bigger than that - one of his 440ci motors is in a ute that has almost cracked the 8 sec mark now for the quarter mile, and its still naturally aspirated !!!, no blower and no gas

without trying to flog the bandwagon but i've also got a SQP 402.

Mine was built many years ago, but it's had a few upgrades done to it since it was originally built, it too will soon be in a drag-only setup. But that's Not to say that it wouldnt be a good fit in a daily driver, if it was running the later model reluctor etc it would have been put in months ago.

Another vote for John at SQP, he built my old 402 and my new 427 and I haven't had a single problem ever.

on the subject how much price difference is there between importing and building local? of coarse compareing apples with apples not two different engines

big cube n/a motors are awesome. sqp certainly has the runs on the board and has quite a good following here so i would jump on the bandwagon and jump into the 11s.
