Just got a 06 SV6 ute with 18' fact alloys and rollbar with 96k on it .
Are the motors cam belt or chain driven .
The bottom front spoiler you can see straight into the radiator is this the norm or am i missing a grill .
Are there any probs with this motor etc i need to be aware off .
And lastly i can only open drivers side door with key remote and have to manually open passenger door or is this something i can bypass on computor.
Currently been working so i havent had time to play with it yet .
Thanks for replies in advance . :goodjob:

Not sure on the engine side of things, but the door opening issue should be easy to fix.
When u turn the ignition on, hold (and keep holding while u turn it on) down the TRIP button on the steering wheel. From memory that's what it is...or it's one of the buttons on the steering wheel anyway! This will get u into the "Engineering Mode" on your display, and changing the door opening setup is an option in there. At least it is on my VE SS-V....

Cool thanks for that .
If you wanna know more about you engine
http://www.users.on.net/~nweber/commodore/vz/news-04.html
Type in 'Alloytec issues' in search and you will find out plenty of info
as for my old vz calais, never had any issues with the engine, bit noisy on startup (cam chains) but that was it. mind you only had 56k on the clock when i sold it.

Actually you just have to cycle through to your trip configuration options... dont need to access engineering mode for this.
