I'll say it before some one else :p

:search: there are plenty of threads on clutches for 5.7ltr, m6's

generally depends on what your doing with it, mods etc....

if its nothin major, just the tune, the stock clutch will be fine, if the other one is almost shagged, put another stock one in.

OR

if your gonna do more mods, look at a ACE clutch (mal woods option 3) seem to be the popular ones.

or the tex Z-grip (soft) if you dont want it so harsh (shutter)

yeah i was thinking about modding it more and i dont relly wont to be changing a clutch anytime soon..
i think it has a standard clutch in it as i went to clutch 2nd high in revs and just got a wholelot of slip.

Options worth considering:

Textralia
Mal Wood Option X
Exceedy

They all have their +ves. Make every effort to drive a car fitted with each and make up your own mind.

Price depends on if you want a clutch only or fitted. From memory expect to pay around $2K installed.

My opinon is to for a Tex. I have a Z in my daily and love it. You can rape the shit out of it and it comes back for more

driven a couple of cars with Mal Wood options 3's. Not a fan. Feels to stock for me in that it slips to much for a high performance clutch

exeddy. I wouldn't touch those shitters ever after all the pressure plate problems mates have had with them driving them hard.

If you're gonna take your car to the track/strip every now and then, make sure you get a textralia, you won't kill it. I have one and its strong as an ox, an excellent clutch. Takes a little bit of practice to make it drive nicely but its worth it.

If you really like the stock feel and most likely wont be racing/dragging your car then I suggest an ACE option 3/3+. Never had one but there are plenty of discerning guys on here who don't like how aggressive the z grip is and most have an ACE clutch.

give peter a call at textralia, the Z is not the only disc he makes.. others are available that are not so "race" like.
