Hey does anyone know if the Bonnet on the SSV Special addition can be put on the normal SSV.
Im a fan of the bonnet Scoops, was unsure if they would meet up properly given the different grill set up.

I reckon if you modified one eg cut off the front bit and smoothed it then re painted it it would work! but could be wrong lol thought it myself once or twice!

I made some enquiries bout the G8 bonnet & there's a couple of ways to get them to fit the normal ss/v front according to my panel beater, option 1 is to modify the actual G8 bonnet or option 2 is to graft the G8 vents onto your exsisting bonnet. Both options require extensive work & alot of $$$ but the finish product will be well worth it imo.
I found these pics of mce's maloo awhile back in the monaro bonnet thread so it definatly can be done.

That's what I thought too and even had a look at Shep's E2 Maloo and saw nothing that made me change my mind. Then again, I'm not even a panel beater's asshole so could be talking out of my own!
I asked the question in another thread but last time I checked nobody had replied. :(

Thanks for the feedback boys,
I just really like the look of the bonnet, not a huge fan of the G8 front bar but each to their own.
The pics above of the Red R8 look great.:goodjob:

I'm right in the middle of converting my G8 to a Gts. My car is sitting right now with a GTS front, fenders with the G8 hood. The hood hangs over a few inches and is a bit off in the latch areas. It looks like the latch areas could be corrected easily, just a matter of trimming the front of the hood. I'll try to get some pictures at the shop.

Looked more closely at the latches today and they line up just fine. It would just be a matter of trimming off the front of the hood. I took some pictures today but I don't have 20 posts yet.

That's what I figured. If you can put the pics on Photobucket (or similar) and give the links without the http:www the parser will not recognise them as links (if it does just leave out the . and / separators). Someone with 20+ posts will then link to them for you so we all can see.
