Hey Guys,
Just got myself (well ordered from holden, have to wait up to for weeks :( ) a 2010 VE SV6 Ute.
Just wondering what sort of mods people have done to theirs and how well it preforms (sounds)
I have done a bit of reading around the site, and im thinking first off..
Cold Air Intake
and a 2.25" Exhaust system
What would you do ??

IMO, first thing you should do is LOWER IT! They come out of the factory looking like 4WD's.
Cheers,

+1 ;)
Seriously though, it all comes down to your budget...And exactly what you want to achieve...
Other than exhaust and CAI...not much you really could do that would be economical ($) and give you bang for your buck.
Any reason you didn't buy a V8?

Seeing youve just ordered it and its still 3 weeks away, Id be considering flashing another $3k in front of their eyes and seeing they can give you a base SS instead. Looks identical but way more fun.

I wouldn't spend too much, just rims, lowering and a quiet catback. The alloytecs have no where near the potential of the V8's, they can make good power but you will definitely be paying a lot just to be different. You'll never get a great note out of a commodore V6 IMHO (well compared to a V8 anyways). However there are plenty of SV6's getting around that look very neat.

20" supersports lowered and leave it as that, dont bother with exhausts CAI etc, V6 sound crap.
OR buy an SS
wouldnt bother with exhaust, had one on my old vz and i took it off within 5 days. sounded like crap
id go for a
chip, can get 220-226kw and 367-378nm
and for intake, k&n filter and mcai if you can in a VE
after that diff gears, but imo not worth going that far with an alloytec

rather broad statement there friend my 202 sounds mint!!!!
id just do a cold air intake and a tune and headers with a small exhaust just something to give a little note but nothing to loud. and then a set of diff gears.
or if you have the cash and wanna be diffrent get a blower or a set of twin snails

"What mods first?" has been done to death guys. Have a read through the threads on the forums and you'll find plenty of existing info on exactly what you are looking for.
