Just wanted to say a big thanks to CV Performance for fitting
my Tex clutch yesterday Con and Vic truley are experts in High
Performance cars and i would recommend them to anyone. As for the clutch compared to the stock one it feels amazingnly stock like which is strange
considering almost everyone on here thats got one says they shudder like buggery!!When they showed me my old one i couldnt believe how i was
even able to drive it it was so worn it was glazed over and the hot spots were pretty bad as well. Just one question i wanted to ask is there a bedding in period like brake pads with these? And also when driving i rest my foot on the pedal slightly it vibrates a bit?

theres not really a bedding in period mate, just drive it like hell, if you baby it, it glazes over pretty quick and makes a awful sound, my mates gt was doing it all the time, driving him crazy. you resting your foot on the pedal is bad, because what i believe is happening is its ever so slighty disengaging there for theres still contact but its probably bouncing a bit on the flywheel.

Ahh that makes sense then thanks for the advice mate. When you say drive it like hell does that mean all the time launcing at 5000rpm or just snapping 2 and 3rds??lol cheers mate

It means don't be scared to give it curry... they don't like being treated soft.. it doesn't mean drive like a maniac all the time though..

CLUTCH BREAK IN PROCEDURE
Your new Textralia clutch system is manufactured from extremely hard wearing and
long lasting materials. Within the first few hours of operation you may experience
some shudder whilst these surfaces blend together and release the dry lubricants
within the working surfaces. During this stage, it is important not to super heat the
mating surfaces with high RPM clutch slips as this will only prolong the break in
procedure.
Normal low RPM slow release stop/go starts is recommended during the first
few heat cycles.

How much did it set you back. Im in need of a new clutch and not sure what they are worth. How much labour they charge you?

All up with New Tex Clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder plus labour was $2000.00 not cheap but i think it is worth it!! I even like the way it grabs closer to the floor now but my slave went in my stock clutch thats prob why it wasnt grabbing properly.
