Had a great night at Willowbank but no other Ls1. I managed to get four runs with best at 8pm clocking 11.96sec at 114.36mph and 1.72 60 ft so I am very pleased. I must thank Sams Performance, and the hotshot PlanB & Craig for his auto work. Not bad dropping from 12.61 to 11.96 sec just with a Sam Tune using Edit.

Its great to be there Pete. It runs so much harder than when doing mid 12,s. Pass on my appreciation to Sam Performance & Craigs Autos for the work they did thanks Pete.

I only took the spare tyre & liner out so probably 25kg max.

the last 6 months have been a great improvement on things.

10s na doest seem that far away :burnout:
Mel given the gains recently in induction, what type of induction setup do you have ?
good to see a streetquick 346 mechanical combo hit 11s as well good effort to all involved

Awesome work Mel.
I am glad to see you are finally getting the potential out of the beast. Are you still running the TCI streetfighter? I guess you are from the 60' times.
Brett.

Still have the Streetfighter on board Brett. It could easily take more stall. Mine is a pretty basic setup that has been tuned well.
I still have the Pacemaker try Y,s, streetquick heads, 222 cam with 530 lift & mafless tune by Sams Performance that idles like stock & goes like h......

Gotta be happy with that!! I happened to be at the
track Sat nite even though i managed to miss your
runs, but thought it might be of interest to mention
everyone was running into one hell of a headwind.
May not have affected ET so much but probably
knocked MPH around a smidge, so who knows??
Pretty Tuff!! CONGRATS!!
So when are we gunna see some LS1s running
at a National Open meet at Willowbank??

Check this out LYTNING, it will have some info for you.

Note:LICENCE: A permanent ANDRA Drag Racing Licence appropriate to the class is required to compete.
This is what you would have to organise contact ANDRA

Lytning, the links V8 UTE provided will tell you all you need to know!! As long as vehicles run slower than 10.99, (wich may not be that far away!!) ANDRA have made the licence process very easy & affordable to cater for 'street' vehicles to compete at a national level. You get to race on a nicely prepped track against decent competitors (not undercoated cortina's or sigmas with no exhaust) and in front of a good crowd!!
With the consistency these LS1s seem to have, your already half a chance of making it through the field!!

Well that sounds like a decent carrot that you're dangling there in front of me so I might just have to sign up and have a go.:nyuk:

My apologies to V8 UTE for not mentioning you in my 'Who's First' post. As far as i know you might have already raced at a national meet, as i have seen you compete at numerous street meets & test & tunes. You have probably done more runs than everyone put together and from what i here your about to do many more although somewhat quicker!!:nyuk: Good Luck with the rebuild!!
