VIC Dirt bike tracks

Hey guys,

Just wondering how many of you Victorians out there race or ride dirt bikes?

After about 10 years away from it I just bought myself an 07 YZ250 which I love but im strugling to find the best place to start riding again. Checked out Broady which looks fast and a lot of fun, had a look at Frankston which is really sandy rough and has no real serious jumps and going to look at Nunawading this weekend.

Just after a bit of advice or for you guys to share your knowledge.

There's a track in Vermont South that I believe belongs to the Nunawadding MotoX Club or something.. It's down the road from where I live. Always people up there so maybe worth looking into.. I don't ride a bike but Maybe you can check it out.

depends on your skill level.

frankston is good first up on a saturday morning, not many people there and the track is freshly graded.

nunawadding is a good track, but last time i want there they had some big jumps ( supercross style doules and tripples) but id say they would have taimed it down now.

if you want to travel, blue rock is a good track, probly the best in vic at the moment. but its a MA sanctioned track (motorcycling australia) so you need to get a day membership or get a year membership with ma. all good tracks are MA. so its worth getting a MA licence.

also, the 07 yamahas are a great bike, i had one when they come out brand new, but had a big crash and sold bikes to build the ute, iv been off it for 2 years, but started again about 3 months ago. on a 2002 yz 250 f.

Bacchus Marsh has a track but I think you have to be a member.

there is two out in baccus. one is a MA track and you have to be a member, the other is a public track, next to the speedway. its not too bad, the MA track shits all over it. better than nothing tho.

Check out the motorcycling vic website for all the clubs acroos victoria, they have links to the clubs websites, racing calanders to th events over this season and heaps of other info.
