Apart from blown fuses (which I've already checked - all good) what else could explain why both left and right parker lights on my VY don't light up? All the other lights are fine and I've changed the parker globes with two sets of new ones, all other lights operate as normal. Are there any fuses located in the engine bay fusebox linked to the parker lights? I only purchased the car last week so I'll give the previous owner a buzz tomorrow and see what he says...

Have you tried the relay for them?
I'm pretty sure there's a relay under the steering wheel with the fuses. Try changing it out with another one that has the same value/part number on it. If they work, then get another relay :)

Otherwise it could be a fault in the wiring or a bad earth maybe... But I would have thought they'd be independant if that was the case.

Thanks for your help - I've changed all the relays/fuses with similar ones that work, taken out the headlight switch and connected another one but no dice. The previous owner had an entertainment system installed when I bought it - surely that couldn't be the culprit wiring-wise? Other than that it's probably the connections on the parker bulb terminal which have had it - I'll pop into the dealer and see what they say...

Have you checked for power down at the headlight its self, try a digital multimeter or test lamp then that will tell you more, i had this problem with mine but only on the LHS i played around for a bit and found that it wasent sitting propley in there and wasent getting power,
hope this helps mate.

No worries will try that - might bring it to an auto electrician. The previous owner said they worked fine after the sound install. Cheers.

Yeah I recon definatly the wiring. My brothers vz; the blinker with stay on solid every time you like the car, and it ended up being a wiring shorting out.

He's lucky if it was just a dodgy wire. VZ's are known for one indicator staying on when locking and it usually ends up needing a new BCM!
