I need a bumper that will fit either a Monaro or a Commodore (2002-2005?)
If you could put it in a box and make ready for shipping, I would schedule somebody to pick it up)
Thanks!

Make sure you get the right one as the VZ Monaro had different headlights to the ones previous to that and thus maybe a different sized bumper around the headlights anyway.

Got any pics mate, there's a big difference in models between 2002 VX and 2005 VZ with the VY in between

Two threads in one afternoon from US guys wanting Aussie bars to go to the US?
One option you may not have thought of is that if I provide you guys the part numbers you want, you can probably get one ordered in via a Pontiac dealer, and will avoid the freight costs.
Might be a lot slower though, but an option if no one shows interest.

^ do you think it's possible? there's a JHP dealer in California, but they charge $1400 for a single bumper with accessories shipped to me. It's about $700 more than I want to pay.
Again, shipping is the issue but I'm still trying to figure out the least expensive way to get it to Boston, MA. If anyone has any idea, I would love to hear it.
Planetdavo, please enlighten me about this way. I'm not quite sure it would work, otherwise JHP would go bankrupt.
Also, I'm not necessarily looking for a new bumper, more like a used one, because I would have to paint and prime it in a first place.
I can't post pictures on the forum yet, but I have a 2005 Pontiac GTO.

JHP often work on the theory that people automatically believe they will fail through regular channels.
Also, your Pontiac dealer wont have part numbers, so they also know this.
I can't say for sure it will work, but it's pretty easy to get a dealer or two to confirm it.
We can supply numerous Pontiac and Chev export parts in Australia through Holden dealers, so Pontiac dealers might be able to do the same with Holden parts.
You say you are looking for one for a GTO? I assume you want a front Monaro one, as the rear one is the same for either, bar ours getting a basic black lower panel, and yours the GTO imprinted one.

That would be great. If you could PM me the part number, I will give a call to some dealership.

i've sent 4 e-mails to local dealerships on friday afternoon, no response yet. i'm going to call them in the morning on monday.
in any case - i'm still looking for a used bumper: monaro VZ / VX or HSV.
Has anyone used those bumpers from ebay? Fiberglass... supposedly great finish and fitment...

FWIW... I've tried to order aussie parts through a local dealer and they couldn't do it. Technically, Holden dealers are supposed to sell their domestic parts in the US either, though I've heard of a couple that have in the past.
BTW... why are you looking for another front bar, did you have a wreck and damage the VZ Monaro bar?

I don't know about "inexpensive", but sea freight is a lot cheaper than air... also takes 4x longer to receive too.
On a side note! If that's an HSV GTO replica, you'll also need VY Lumina SS coupe head lights. Or convert VY Monaro head lights to LHD using your VZ head lights as parts donors.

do you know how to set up that sea freight? i dont mind 4x times longer. everyone out there does not seem to know how to ship anything. pick up only.
yeah i think i can see the difference between the bumper that fits gto headlights and those that are more narrow and more round in the inside. i'm looking at one that would fit my headlights, hope.

i'm on the edge. if i don't find a monaro bumper, there's no reason for me to keep a gto (i'm not paying $1300 for it from those guys in Cali). therefore if you guys don't help me find a monaro bumper, I'll probably be moving onto a new car ;)
